School’s (almost) out, innovation is in! Salesforce’s Summer ‘25 release is bringing improvements to Education Cloud, like new use cases for Agentforce for Education and enhancements to Campus and Program finder. Get ready to kick back and relax for the summer with these new features that will help you get more done in less time.
Student Recruitment
Agentforce for Education: Student Recruitment (Beta)
Handling escalations, creating Academic Interest records, registering students for campus tours and events, and starting the application process is now easier than ever with the new topics and actions in the Student Recruitment Agent.
Use Customized Rubrics for Each Application Stage
You can now assign customized rubrics to each stage of the application review process, ensuring you are using the right criteria to assess each stage. Admins can assign these custom rubrics based on an application's internal status. For example, you could create different rubrics for application reviews, phone interviews, and in-person interviews.
Get Insights into Applicant Campus Preferences
Applicants can rank their preferred campus locations during the application process, helping admissions teams make more informed decisions about offers and increase applicant retention. You can also use this information to make better placement offers for alternative locations if you have multiple campuses.
Campus and Program Finder
You can create an Experience Cloud site to help students find campuses or programs in their area. Students can filter by location, learning program, campus or school, grade level, and other criteria you set and view the results in a list or map view.
Improve School and Program Visibility to K-12 Applicants
New and improved objects and fields now allow you to present primary and secondary schools and academic programs on an Experience Cloud site with the Campus and Program Finder. You can make it simple for students and families to find their preferred school by populating new grade fields to specify the grade levels of learning programs and courses, classifying schools by available grade levels, and classifying institutions as public, private, or charter. You can also configure new location objects to show schools at multiple administrative levels, like city, state, and country.
Enhance Campus and Program Search with Detailed Profiles
New objects and fields can now be used to offer a more detailed description of campuses and schools and relate them to program and learning program offerings within the Education Cloud data model. Details like locations, formats, and fields of study will help students research, find, and apply for the learning program that’s right for them.
Student Support
Support Advisors with Agentforce for Education: Student Advising
Grow your advising team’s capacity with Agentforce for Education: Student Advising. This autonomous agent can summarize student cases for quick understanding at a glance. It can also provide immediate answers to student questions about campus facilities, services, activities, clubs, programs, action plans, and campus policies. The agent can also follow up by suggesting next-best actions, like creating a to-do or a case.
Manage Academic Operations
New student information system (SIS) capabilities can extend the power of Education Cloud. Your staff can now more easily design and implement auditable academic policies, manage holds and blocks for students, load course offering schedules using API, and define course registration windows. In addition, you can give students the ability to register for courses.
Define, Enforce, and Manage Student Holds More Effectively
Using a hold definition guided setup, you can now save time by defining and editing holds without manual entry. This makes it easy to enter regulatory code (hold) details, select reasons and restrictions for a hold, and assign resolution tasks. You’ll gain a comprehensive and unified view of reasons, restrictions, and resolution tasks in a hold summary. Dedicated APIs can help you more accurately create holds and fetch student violations to enforce the hold. With the new Hold Instance View, you can more easily track and manage student holds in a single place. You can also give students a hold summary view in the Action Center, empowering them with more information about their hold.
Manage Course Offerings and Course Offering Schedules in Bulk
You can use APIs to import your existing course offerings and course offering schedules into Education Cloud. In addition, you can create or update multiple course offerings and their related schedules at once, saving you even more time.
Calculate the GPA of Students with Policy Rules
Calculate students’ GPAs using the new policy rules (expression sets) in Education Cloud. Then, registrar staff can verify and publish those results from the Academic Score Report tabs of the student’s academic term enrollment record page. Students can view their score details once you publish them using Academic Score Report Lightning web components on your Experience Cloud site.
Optimize Course Registration
Give students a unified course registration experience by enabling Advanced Academic Operations. You’ll be able to facilitate course searches, availability checks, enrollment eligibility verification, and registration confirmation for students in a single process. Students can easily view, modify, or withdraw from registered courses. You can also automatically create a student enrollment record for accurate and up-to-date enrollment data.
Philanthropy
Optimize Philanthropic Engagement and Research with Agentforce
Quickly and easily summarize milestones and wealth capacities of prospects using Philanthropic Research Topics in Agentforce. AI agents can also give quick answers to questions about professional affiliations or philanthropic events. These insights can be leveraged to build personalized engagement strategies, develop deeper relationships with donors, and increase donor loyalty.
Manage Philanthropic Research Data with Education Cloud’s Alumni App
Using Education Cloud’s Alumni app, you can now more easily manage philanthropic research data like prospect profiles, wealth assessments, and milestone summaries. In addition, you can use Einstein generative AI to summarize party philanthropic assessments, party philanthropic indicators, party philanthropic occurrences, and interaction summaries. Save time by automating case creation for research requests with the new Create Research Request Case flow.
Build Lasting Relationships with Gift Planning
Reduce manual processes and scattered data by combining all aspects of gift planning into a single platform. You’ll be able to better establish long-term philanthropic journeys for donors that include complex planned gifts like charitable gift annuities, life insurance, donor-advised funds, and bequests.
